[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Genetics is your main indicator of dark circles, not fatigue. It’s a strange thing to have and one of the things that a magnifying glass of destruction doesn’t help. What you see compared to what everyone else sees is often very different. I don’t always hide, even if I have dark circles, because it doesn’t matter to me what anyone thinks! I also find that, for me, it usually accentuates the fine lines around my eyes and makes them stand out more than if there was nothing there.
However, a new concealer is the most exciting and I’ve been trying MAC Studio Radiance 24HR Luminous Lift Concealer – a combination of hyaluronic, Vitamin C and Niacinamide so it’s designed as an everyday concealer that also doubles as a concealer. eye cream (I don’t use eye cream anymore!).
I have two shades here – NW5 and NW15 – NW15 being my MAC foundation shade although I thought, when I tried it, it looked a lot brighter than I remembered and I’m wondering if MAC has changed or if my memory needs a test. In fact, I’ve just unveiled the classic NW15 Studio Fix Fluid and I’ll say that Studio Radiance is a slightly different shade of NW15 – very shimmery so you might want to re-check your usual shade – consult a store or use a shade finder. .
Above, NW5 (light) and NW15.
What we need to throw a halo over MAC is that they make labels where you can read the shadow number without using a magnifying glass! If you’re a medium with ‘list eyes’ like me (you have to book the menu so far to look that I need to extend an arm) this is a huge bonus.
Although there is a difference in shade, I think it does a great job of covering natural dark circles. It reminds me of the long-gone Dior concealer with its lightness to the touch and coolness on the skin. It combines well using the spray method. I have it in my right eye and I have spots in my left so you can see for yourself. It’s £26 HERE which makes sense as it’s better than other concealers I’ve tried and MAC has a great shade finder you can use if you’re not close to the counter. Remember that your tone will be warmer now than it is in the winter and since we’re heading into colder climates, weather wise, you can change your choices.
